Butter Beef


  • 3 lbs. cubed beef stew meat
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 ounce envelope dry onion soup mix
  • Cooked egg noodles
Place the beef and butter into a slow cooker. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 hours, or High for 4 to 5 hours. Stir once or twice.Makes 8 servingsSource : Allrecipes.com

It doesn’t get much more simple than this. Five hours were a little longer than needed for my beef, I think it was a bit dry, but I was waiting for the hubby to get home to eat or we would have eaten it earlier. It was good, I would prefer this over Beef Stroganoff I believe, but it needed a little something more to it.
