Yummy Breakfast Pizza

  • 1 lb mild italian pork sausage (I used likes, bulk would be easier)
  • 1 pkg butter flavor crescent rolls
  • 1 cup seasoned shredded hash browns, thawed (mine were not seasoned, I just added some garlic powder to them)
  • 4 oz colby-jack cheese, shredded
  • 5 whole eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Cook sausage in skillet until browned; drain off fat. (I browned the links whole, then cut them up into small chunks after.)

Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Place them on ungreased 12-inch pizza pan, with points facing towards center. Press onto bottom and up sides of pan to form crust; seal perforations. (Note to those with pizza stones, not a good option for this particular recipe. A metal pan with a tiny little lip is good.)

spoon cooked sausage over crust. Sprinkle thawed seasoned hash browns over sausage (this is when I also sprinkled garlic powder.) Top with shredded colby-jack cheese.

In bowl, beat together milk, eggs, salt, and pepper. Pour into crust.

Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top. Bake in 375° oven for 25-30 minutes.

Makes 6 servings

Breakfast for dinner can never go wrong. This one is especially yummy, guess that’s where the name came from. The adjustments I made I’ve noted in the recipe, nothing major. It’s very tasty as it is. Had I been thinking at the grocery store, I would have started with bulk sausage, but I wasn’t and came home with regular sausage instead. We worked with it.
